In addition to interesting and varied programs at our monthly chapter meetings, the Mercy Hathaway White Chapter sponsors many other activities, including:

• Scholarships - The chapter founded a memorial scholarship in memory of Honorary State Regent Lois Baum.
• DAR Good Citizens - The chapter sponsors high school winners in four local schools. DAR Good Citizens are students selected for the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and community.
• American History Essay Contests - The chapter reaches out to fifth-graders for this annual contest in four area schools. The American History Essay Contest encourages young people to think creatively about our nation's great history and learn about history in a new light.
